High Speed Rail Boondogle

There has been much debate about high speed rail here in Florida. Our govenor told the Feds to keep their money. High speed rail is a loser.

The problems are: The cost to run it falls on the states. The area is serves is too short. The ridership predictions are way too rosy. The state's taxpayers will be stuck with the shortfalls.

Oh sure it would put some more folks to work in cushy government jobs earning retirement benefits we all wish we could get, but it's time the public in each state told the federales no!

Watch Out For Scam Gold Buyers

I had a phone call a little while ago from a lady who wanted to sell some 14k gold. She said she had been in to a gold buyers store to get a price. After they quoted her she said the price seemed low. It was confusing as they quoted her in Pennyweights

Smart, she went home and researched online to find that a pennyweight is a measure used in Cash For Gold Scams to confuse customers. The offered her two offers. The final one was $2,000.00 for her old which is really worth $3818.00.
